I hold the hand of my son as we walk down to his class.
"Why can't you be my teacher mommy?" Eddie asks.
"Because I help special kids," I say.
"Ain't I special?"
"Yes you are but theses kids need extra help then you do,"
"Ok mommy, still going to the Penguins tonight?"
"You know it, now get your butt in that class,"
I watch him race into the class.
Shaking my head, my son is in love with the Penguins, he just doesnt love one player, he loves all the players. Has most of the shirt jerseys at home. The one I dont like him wearing is Sidney Crosby.
I arrive back to the classroom as I see people with jersey on, like the Penguins.
"Kim come over here," The head teacher says as I walk over and seen Sidney Crosby, Matt Cooke, Marc-Andre Fleury, James Neal and Craig Adams standing there.
"This is our AM teacher Miss James. The penguins are here for a surprised visit to the school this afternoon but wanted to be with the Special Education class this morning. Is this ok?" Mr. Harrison asks.
"It's fine," I say
I wasn't going to like this too much, can't believe he hasn't regonize me yet.
"Alright, follow Miss. James into her classroom,"
I walk and open the door as they follow behind me.
"So when do the kids arrive?" Matt asks.
"In about 5 minutes," I say as I start setting everything up on their tables.
"Alright, want us to be in a special spot?" Sidney asks.
"Front of the class, if you wouldnt mind," I say.
They all walk up front.
I finish setting up just as the bell rings.
"How many is in this class?"
"About 8,"
I walk over to the door as my students begin to come in.
"Put up your backpacks and take a seat,"
I kept on repeating this until all the students were in the room.
I turn around to see my students excited and some were not.
I close the door and walk to the head of the class.
"These people are here to see you, and only you. Can they introduce themseleves to you?"
They nod their heads.
All of the Penguins introduce themselves.
"They are in our class all morning and will help us, let's get our day started,"
I went on my own busniess even though my mind was on him.
"Alright class, it's the end of our day, lets pack up and line up," I say.
I watch them all get up, grab their backpack and line up.
Then the bell rang
"Ok see you all tomorrow," I say opening the door.
I watch all of them leave.
Then I walk back into my room.
"Thank you for letting us to help you," Sidney says.
"The help was needed, thank you," I say as I grab my jacket and purse.
"Miss. James!!!!"
I turn around seeing Alyssa crying.
I run to her asking " What happened?"
"Ryan punched me and pinched me," she says.
with that, we both walk out of the room as I seen Ryan laying down in the hall crying.
"Ryan why did you hit Alyssa?" I ask as I got on the floor.
"Me didn't mean it," he says.
"You shouldn't do that sweetie," I say as I help him up and he hugged me.
"Say sorry to Alyssa," I say.
"Sorry Lisa,"
They both hugged and walks off, just as Eddie came running to me.
"Mommy,"
I wrap my arms around him as I stood up.
"Have a good day?" I ask
"Yes ma'am,"
"Good,"
Just before I walk to mu class, I see all 5 of them walking to the gym.
"Thank you again," James Neal says as I walk to my room, carrying my son.
I got everything together as we walk down the hall.
"Ready to see Aunt Lauren before the game?" I ask as we walk out of the door.
"YESS!!" He exclaims.
Lauren is a friend of mine I known for a long time and she adores Eddie.
When we got to the car, I unlock the doors as I watch Eddie get into the car.
"In the booster seat," I say as I get in the car and close the door.
"Yes ma'am," he says.
As soon as he had the seat belt on, I take out of the parking lot and down the road to Pittsburgh.
I pull in front of a fancy apartment as the doors get open up.
"Thank you Ricky, I will not be long," I say as I hope of the car to meet Eddie is already standing there.
I grab his hand as we make our way into the building.
Going to the elevators, we get in and hit the number 12.
It takes us up until it opens up.
Walking down the hall we find her apartment as Eddie knocked on it.
"Hey you two, come on in," Lauren says as we both walk into the apartment.
"How was your day, Eddie?" Lauren asks.
"Good, can I got play?" Eddie asks.
"Go for it,"
Eddie just ran back to Lauren's spare room.
"So was your day good too?" she asks.
"I seen him today," I say.
