Ryan gets back onto the road as he grabs Lauren's hand into his.
"So what are we Ryan?" Lauren asks.
"We are dating now, if you want to try again," Ryan says.
"We are dating then,"
I smile as I'm happy to see her so happy again.
The next two hours ago by fast by just looking at Edmonton and the surrounding areas.
"Back to Rexall Place for the hockey game," Ryan says.
I look over at James.
"Did you like the city?" I ask.
"I seen this city before remember? I was a Dallas Star," James says.
"I forgot you were,"
He smiles and rolls his eyes at me.
"So Neal, how was Pittsburgh when you played for them?" Ryan asks.
"I loved it in Pittsburgh, I signed a 6 year extention with them but they trade me after a year of signing it. I thought it was bullshit but cant help it. I would love to go back but at the same time I wouldn't want to go back," James says.
"I can understand that I got traded from them in 2009. I'm 2007 I signed a 6 year contract, that didn't happen. I would go back but wouldn't. Was happy here in Edmonton but I'll take Columbus,"
"We have to give you boys a tour when you come back into town," I say since Ryan hasn't seen Columbus and neither has James.
"Good idea," Lauren says.
I watch as Ryan takes a turn and heads into the parking lot.
"Well we are here but not parked,"
I laugh at my cousin's comment.
Once he reached the right level, he parks his car in the same spot as he did before.
"Everyone out," Ryan says as he gets out of the car as Lauren does as well.
Lauren uses the thing to make the seat go up.
"Thanks," I say as me and James both climb from the car as my cell phone begins to ring .
Quickly I answer it.
"Hello," I say as all four of us head into the arena.
"Hey sweetie, a man was just here and they give dropped off yours and James' cars. I just figure I call to let you know," Mom says.
"Thanks for letting me know, I'll let James know that, hows Eddie?"
"He's good just waiting for 9 so he can watch a little bit of daddy playing,"
"Ok, I don't want him up passed 10 mom,"
"He won't be, he just wants to watch his daddy play,"
"Alright give him a big hug and kiss from me and James,"
"Well do, Love you,"
"Love you,"
I hang up.
"What was that about?" James asks as we got closer to the Jackets locker room.
"Our cars are now at my mom's house and out little man will be staying up late tonight to watch you,"
"Won't it be late there when the game is on?"
We stop.
"Yeah but he will only be able to watch a periods worth so enough time to see his daddy,"
James smiles at that comment.
"He's going to be just like me when it comes to hockey,"
"Probably be,"
"James get in here now,"
The coach says. I forget the guys name.
"I'll see you after,"
He kisses me and walks into the room just as the GM, Mr. Kekalainen.
"Ryan, where is Justin at?" He asks just as we see him running..
"Sorry," He breaths.
"No problem, since you two used to play here we have set you two up in a suite. If you two want, you can join them or sit where you did earlier,"
"We will go up to the suite with the guys," Lauren says, as I already knew her answer.
"Alright, follow me then,"
We follow him as we all went into an elevatoir.
"We go to the 6 floor, which is highest," Ryan says as the elevator begins to move.
"I will be coming back to get you once this game is over. I won't like Neal do it cause he has no idea where to go," he says.
"Yes sir," Ryan says as the door open and we all walk out and follow Mr. Kekalainen to the suite were we are going to be in.
"Suite 10,"
He opens the door to this big window room and had chairs, tables and a couch in.
"Enjoy,"
All four of us walk into the room as I head over to the glass and took a seat that was right there.
Beauiful view and I can see James from up here. I still got to get used to the 8 on his jersey though.
I turn to see Ryan and Lauren on the couch and Justin at the table stuffing his face.
Looking down I see as the Jackets get onto the ice. I spot James as he was a sore eye. He still has his home penguin bottoms on but hey atleast he has a Blue Jackets jersey on with his name and number.
"Jame is such a sore eye still," Lauren says.
"Hey he just got traded give it some time. He will look just like a jacket," Ryan says.
I watch both practices as the lights get darker and I see all the Oiler fans get on their feet.
After the players come out both National Anthems were played as the lights came back on.
"Im ready for this Game," Ryan says as I smile as I look back to the rink as the jackets take the first faceoff.
I keep my eyes on the game as I hear Ryan.
"Way to go Maggie," Ryan says as there team music comes on.
I turn in my seat
"Ryan wrong team." I say as Lauren gets up and takes a seat next to me.
"You ok?" I ask.
"Yeah Ryan is loving this game, figure he coulc watch it with Justin," Lauren says.
"Ryan has always been into hockey,"
Me and Lauren turn around as I see James hit the puck.
"Go James!!!" I yell as he moves pass men and shoots the puck right into the net.
"Yes!!!!"
Me and Lauren stand up and started clapping our hands.
"Go Neal!!!" Ryan yells.
As the game resumes the intercom comes on.
"The goal is scored by Number 8, James Neal. Assisted by number 18 RJ Umberger. This is Neal's first goal as a jacket,"
I am proud of him.
Me and Lauren watch the rest of the game as the Jackets fall to the Oilers 1 to 5.
"At least it wasn't a shutout," Lauren says.
"Agreed, I'm pretty sure Eddie saw his daddy score the only goal of the game,"
"I bet he was jumping and yelling,"
"Most likely,"
Me and Lauren turn around as Ryan and Just were at the table eating the snacks.
We both get up and walk over to them.
"That game sucked, but thankfully Neal got a goal," Ryan says.
"Shut up Ry, you wanted the Oilers to win and they did," I say as I know its the trith.
"Hey, I'm not playing when I play tomorrow we will win," Ryan says.
Smartass
Lauren sits down on Ryan's lap.
"It will be his last game rooting for the Oilers. He is a Jacket now," Lauren says as she leans over and kisses him.
"Eww," I say being a smartass.
Guess it runs in my family.
After a while a knock comes at the door.
"You all ready to go?" Mr.Kekalainen says.
"Yes," I say as I was the first one to walk out of the room as I head for the elevator.
Turning around, I see Justin, Ryan, Lauren and the GM behind me.
"Let's head down to the locker room," Mr. Kekalainen says as we all pile into the elevator as he hits the number one.
The doors close as it begins to go down.
"So this game sucked huh?" Mr. K asks.
"Yeah, the only good thing is that it wasn't a shutout," I say as the doors open.
"I hear that but we didn't get the three points that we wanted,"
"I know,"
We walk around the arena until we reached the locker room.
"Come on in everyone," Mr. K says as he opens the door for us.
"Thank you," Ryan says as we all walk in, me behind Ryan and Lauren.
Walking in, I look around at all the sad faces until I spot James.
I move pass Lauren and Ryan and walked straight to him.
His arms extend for me as I get in them as he wraps them around me.
"I'm sorry you lost," I say as I look up at him.
"It's ok, we will win tomorrow,"
He kisses me with alot of passion.
"Go get changed sweat man,"
I move as my sexy guy goes back in.
"He wants you so bad,"
I turn around and Ryan is right there.
"Ryan really?"
"Yes really, I see it in his eyes. He wants you,"
"He'll have to wait until Saturday,"
Ryan shakes his head.
After a few minutes, James emerges all dressed up and cleaned up.
"So what now?" James asks.
"No idea," I say.
"Boys listen up we need to get in the bus and head for Calargy and be there by morning. All your bags have been packed and are on the bus. Neal's guests we will take ypu to the airport on the way. Whitney and Justin you are finishing this trip so bus your on. am I clear?" The coach says.
"Yes sir,"
"Guess we got our answer huh?" I ask as James leans me over and kisses me again.
"Yeah, it sucks you cant go with me," James says.
"I know but I got to get Eddie enrolled into school before the year is over," I say.
"How about we enroll him in the fall? Let him have a extra month of vacation. We can get him things like leanring books to help him,"
"James it's March, he would have two extra months for vacation, he needs to be in school,"
I watch as he looks down at me as he kisses me.
"I still wish you weren't going back to Columbus tonight,"
"I have too, it's for our son,"
